ESA Photo Competition 2020

In an effort to entertain you during these long days, ESA is running a photo competition for you all to enter.

There are three categories:

  1. Landscapes - This can encompass general landscape scenes, local parks, or woods, seaside visits etc., pretty much anything as long as it outside rather than a staged studio shot.

    2. Portraits – People or animals, pets etc.

    3. Transport – including trains, boats, and planes, or even road transport.  This category can include models of transport.

You can chose to enter your best pictures in just one or any of the above categories.  Please send us no more than three photos in total, and say which category you wish the photo(s) to be entered into.

All your entries will be displayed on our website after the close of entry date MONDAY 14th December.  Before judging takes place no names will be shown against the photos.  Only after the judging has been completed will the photographers name be added to their photos on our website.

We have an independent expert to judge all the entries. He is someone who was the Features Editor of Amateur Photographer magazine, and who now edits a highly respected specialist railway magazine. His name will be revealed after the winners have been chosen.

The photographer who took the photo judged to be the best photo in each category will receive the winning prize of £15, in other words we have three first prizes of £15 for each winning category.

We ask that the photos you send in must be in digital format, and have been taken by you within the last two years.  All ESA members and their partners are eligible to take part.

It’s all a little bit of fun to try and brighten up these miserable days, so please do join in.

Please find below a summary of the rules of the competition.

May the best three photos win and the best of luck to ALL entrants.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch, thanks.

Best regards,
